Music and Animals

Relaxed kitty & humanThe rhythms and frequencies of various music affects all animals. Animals have shown preferences and behavioral changes listening to different music.

Music can be relaxing and healing, or uplifting and energizing. Having conducted music preference studies through the years with horses and using music in my clinics to enhance learning of horse and rider, I have been struck by the healing benefits of music to both mind and body.  I am looking to collaborate with others who are using music with animals.

If you are a musician and would like to share your music or if you are a researchers and have data on music and animals you would like to share, please contact me.

Here is a  video showing music and a beluga whale.
